Description
The Golden Eagle, primarily found in mountains up to 12,000 feet, rim-rock terrain, canyonlands, riverside cliffs and bluffs. Golden Eagles nest on cliffs and steep slopes in grassland, shrubland, forest, and vegetated areas. Golden eagles have large eyes that take up most of the space of their head. Their keen eyesight can clearly see in color, allowing the them to spot movement from a long distance. Their eyes don't move much in the eye socket, but they can rotate their head about 270 degrees, just like an owl to look around.
