Artist's Description

Saint Theresa is also known as "The Little Flower." The fame of her sanctity and the many miracles and graces were performed through her interce ssion caused the introduction of her cause of canonization only seventeen years after her death, 10 Jun, 1914. Born at Alen�, France, 2 January, 1873; died at Lisieux 30 September, 1897.

Roses and St. Theresa is a miniature painting done in miniature technique. This miniature painting was done using De Mairo pigments and oil paints, on Luma-Surface.

Lora Duguay has been creative since childhood, but when her life was affected by Post Polio Syndrome, her hobby became her full time career. Her artistic creativity has been focused on the cultural beauty of indigenous tribes, nature, and iconography. Mediums include oil, pastels, colored pencil, scratchboard and photography. Her art has been exhibited in various museums and galleries throughout the United States. She is a member of The Association of Miniature Artists. Lora is also a member of VSA Florida, now Arts4All Florida, having participated on their Board of Directors, as well as Artist in Residency Program sharing her artistic knowledge with students who have special needs.
